I've not quite lost count of all my copies of RQ I've bought since my first set in '81.
On the plus side, having read somemore of the MRQ II book now, and having read comments on the mongoose blog, I'm fairly sure that all I will/need to get is the core rulebook, most of the rest I can make up from all the other RQ stuff I have.
As for the second age setting for Glorantha, I'll want to see before I buy. But the Heroquest book for Pavis does appeal later in the year, maybe also use for OpenQuest. Used to love Pavis and Prax as a setting, running it like an almost wild west setting. The Sartar setting I have alays struggled a bit more with, feeling the depth of setting detail killed of my creativity to some extent. Whereas Pavis/Prax has always felt more free-wheeling as a place to write for.
Hence interest in the Savage North as a setting on my part.
But I have to say, as a graphic designer, I do like the look of the MRQ II book an awful lot. Mind you still redesigned the character sheet pronto. Weapons on the back ! What !
